Erythrite is KJD's interpretation of the fusion of Amethyst and Ruby.

Appearance[]

Erythrite has a very muscular and bulky body with two huge arms, a wide chest, and short legs. Her skin is bright burgundy and she has four small black eyes, a small nose, and a large mouth with full lips and pointy teeth. Her hair is black and is voluminous and messy, being rather long and swept back with an auburn bandanna. Her gemstones are on her chest and left palm and are deep burgundy.

Pre-regeneration (debut)[]

She wears a very dark red tank top that has a low neckline and ripped brown shorts and mauve boots.

Post-regeneration (current)[]

She now wears a dark burgundy and black sleeveless shirt with a star shaped cutout at her chest, and she also wears black and dark burgundy ripped short and burgundy boots. 

Personality[]

Erythrite has a wild and somewhat aggressive personality, being modeled after a street fighter.

Abilities[]

Erythrite possesses standard Gem abilities, bubbling, shapeshifting, fusion, regeneration, agelessness, and superhuman strength/durability.

Skillset[]

  • Whip Proficiency: Erythrite can summon Amethyst’s whip.
  • Gauntlet Proficiency: Erythrite can summon Ruby’s gauntlet.
  • Fail Proficiency: Erythrite can combine Amethyst's whip and Ruby's gauntlet to create a flail. And while it isn't as powerful as Sugilite's, it still packs a punch.

Unique Abilities[]

  • Spin Dash: Erythrite can rapidly roll into a ball-like shape.
  • Thermokinesis: Erythrite can increase the temperature and generate heat.

Trivia[]

  • She was originally named Taaffeite, however KJD canned her name to Erythrite because she felt it fit better.

Gemstone Information

  • Erythrite, also called red cobalt or cobalt bloom, is a mineral with the chemical formula Co3(AsO4)28H2O.
  • It is a non well known mineral that is used as a minor ore of cobalt.
  • Erythrite is a deep pink to burgundy color, being transparent and growing in many sharp radiating crystals.
  • It’s found in many countries ranging from Germany to Canada to Chile.
  • Because it contains somewhat dangerous elements like arsenic and cobalt, it’s not often used for jewelry.
  • Erythrite has the Mohs Hardness Scale rating of 1.5-2.5, which is very low.
  • As for crystal healing, erythrite is said to help cleanse auras.
